David F. Couch Ballpark is a collegiate and former minor-league baseball park in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.The full-time home of the Wake Forest Demon Deacons baseball team, starting in 2009, it was also previously home of the Winston-Salem entry in the Carolina League (currently the Winston-Salem Dash), a role it played since the park opened in 1956.

The 1950 Southern Conference baseball tournament was held in Greensboro, North Carolina, from May 26 through 28, as the conference's final event of the 1950 NCAA baseball season. This was the league's first baseball championship tournament, and predates modern Southern Conference baseball records which begin with the 1954 baseball season.
Tom Walter is an American college baseball coach. He has been the head coach of Wake Forest since the start of the 2010 season. Before coming to Wake Forest, Walter held head coaching positions at George Washington from 1997–2004 and New Orleans from 2005–2009. He was an assistant at George Washington from 1992–1994.
