Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty (SERP) is an autonomous society of the Department of Rural Development, Government of Andhra Pradesh. [1] SERP is implementing Indira Kranthi Patham (IKP), [2] a statewide community driven rural poverty reduction project to enable the poor to improve their livelihoods and quality of life through their own organizations.
The scheme is the extended version of Aarogyasri launched by late Chief minister of Andhra Pradesh Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy where free health care is provided for all the people of below poverty line once the hospital bill crosses ₹1000 covering 2,200 medical procedures. [8] [9]

Kokkilagadda Rakshana Nidhi, born in 1964 in Vallurupalem, Thotlavalluru mandal, is a politician representing the state of Andhra Pradesh. He served two terms as the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) for the Tiruvuru Assembly constituency in NTR district from 2014 to 2024. He is a member of the YSR Congress Party.
The scheme was launched by Chief minister of Andhra Pradesh Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on 12 August 2020 [1] with the budget of ₹17000 crores. The project covers 23 lakh women [2] aged 45–60 belonging to BC/SC/ST/Minority castes who would get benefitted by receiving a total amount of ₹75000 over the period of four years at the rate of ₹18750 rupees per annum.
The Central Waqf Council is a statutory body under the administrative control of the Ministry of Minority Affairs was set up in 1964 as per the provision given in the Waqf Act, 1954 as Advisory Body to the Central Government on matters concerning the working of the Waqf Boards and the due administration of Auqaf. This act was later repealed. [10]
