The San Jacinto Campus opened in 1965 with two buildings and has since grown into a larger, more comprehensive campus serving the local community. In 1975, the residents of Temecula, Lake Elsinore, Perris and adjacent areas voted to join the Mt. The present-day location of this ferry can trace its origins back to 1822 when it was constructed by Nathaniel Lynch just below the confluence of the San Jacinto River and the Buffalo Bayou and was known as Lynch's Ferry.
