Swiss Days. Swiss Days is the name of an annual festival that takes place in three American towns with Swiss heritage, Berne, Indiana, [1] Midway, Utah, [2] and Santa Clara, Utah. [3]

The population was 7,553 at the 2020 census, up from 6,003 at the 2010 census, and 4,630 at the 2000 census. The city is a western suburb of St. George.
The Hans George Hafen House, at 3003 Santa Clara Dr. in Santa Clara, Utah, was built in 1862. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998. It is significant as a legacy of the "Cotton Mission" which brought many Swiss immigrant families to the area.
The 1860 census showed the presence of 78 Swiss in Utah, and by 1910 that number reached 1,700, a considerable figure for a small country. A group of them were sent by Brigham Young to start the town of Santa Clara, near St George, and they accomplished the task in an excellent way. Another city with Swiss majority is Midway, near Heber.
