Zahid Valencia (born May 11, 1997) is an American freestyle wrestler and graduated folkstyle wrestler who competes at 86 kilograms. [1] [2] As a folkstyle wrestler, he was a two-time NCAA Division I national champion and three-time Pac-12 Conference champion out of Arizona State University. [3]

At the time of his death, Valencia was a 23-year-old junior at the University of Missouri in Columbia, Boone County, Missouri. While at the university, Valencia studied pre-law and journalism; he also worked at the Campus Inn Motel. Valencia is buried on the family farm in Perryville, Kentucky. [2]

After earning a BA at Baruch College, he began at the New York City Comptroller's Office as a Staff Accountant, became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and eventually became a Bureau Chief.
