Hillsborough County Public Schools ( HCPS) is a school district that runs the public school system of Hillsborough County in west central Florida and is headquartered in Tampa, Florida, United States. During the 1983–84 school year, TC entered into the tech era by installing the first computers on campus. They were used to teach students in computer programming classes. In 2002 efforts moved forward to establish a master plan for the 40-year-old school. This plan called for needed upgrades to the academic portion of the campus.
It is part of the Hillsborough County Public Schools system. It was founded in 1925. Most classes and all administrative offices are located in the two-story main building. The building measures 380 feet (120 m) by 275 feet (84 m). An auto specialties training shop, one story tall, measures 200 feet (61 m) by 95 feet (29 m).

Bloomingdale Senior High School is a public high school located in Valrico, Florida. [4] Bloomingdale was established in 1987, three years after Gaither High School, and has its same architectural design. Bloomingdale's first graduating class was in 1989, since Hillborough County does not pull seniors from existing schools for new schools.
