Check your account email client One of the top reasons a user can't find their emails is due to settings from a third-party email client such as Outlook or the Mail app on your phone. Chances are the settings in the program are set to delete the emails from the AOL server each time you check your mail.
If you're a Verizon migrated user and want to continue using your POP3 configured client, you'll need to update your client with POP3 settings. IMAP is a method used to retrieve emails from a mail server. Your messages are stored on the server, and each time you check your inbox, the email client contacts the server to get your messages.
If you decide to change your configuration from POP3 to IMAP, be sure to save or backup your email to avoid potential loss during the transition. If you update your settings and can't retrieve your mail or encounter an error, check your username. It should be your full email address, including @netscape.com.
