Meramec is the largest community college in Missouri with over 12,000 undergraduate and transfer students. [2][3] Along with the 78-acre (31.6 ha) main campus in Kirkwood, Meramec operates one satellite campus in South St. Louis County - Meramec's South County Education and University Center.

St. Louis Community College–Florissant Valley (also known as STLCC-Florissant Valley, Florissant Valley, Flo Valley) is a public community college in Ferguson, in the U.S. state of Missouri. It is one of the four schools of the St. Louis Community College System and is one of nine community colleges in Greater St. Louis. Over 7,000 students attend Florissant Valley. [2]
In 1976, the JCD changed its name to St. Louis Community College at Florissant Valley, Forest Park and Meramec. [1] In 1999, the Jack E. Miller Hospitality Studies Center opened at Forest Park, with "state-of-the-art facilities for culinary arts." [1] On September 24, 2009, a suspicious package was found in a men's restroom in the D Building.
Meramec State Park is a public recreation area located near Sullivan, Missouri, about 60 miles from St. Louis, along the Meramec River. [4] The park has diverse ecosystems such as hardwood forests and glades.
History The college opened in August 2007. The Wildwood campus was created because of the rapidly growing population of west St. Louis County [broken anchor] and to relieve some of the pressures from STLCC-Meramec's growing and overcapacity 12,000-13,000 student population. [2]
