Northern Health is the publicly funded healthcare provider for the northern half of the Canadian province of British Columbia . Northern Health serves over 300,000 people in an area of 600,000 square kilometres. [1] It was established as one of five geographically based health authorities in 2001 by the Government of British Columbia.
The NRHA covers the largest geographical area of the 5 regional health authorities (RHAs) in Manitoba, spanning over 396,000 km 2 (153,000 sq mi), or nearly two-thirds of the province. [2] It was formed in 2012 by the merger of the former NOR-MAN and Burntwood Regional Health Authorities.
