The Rodale Institute. Rodale Institute is a non-profit organization that supports research into organic farming. It was founded in Emmaus, Pennsylvania in 1947 by J. I. Rodale, an organic living entrepreneur. After J.I. Rodale died in 1971, his son Robert Rodale purchased 333 acres and moved the farm to Kutztown, Pennsylvania .
Kutztown ( Pennsylvania German: Kutzeschteddel) is a borough in Berks County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is located 18 miles (29 km) southwest of Allentown and 17 miles (27 km) northeast of Reading. As of the 2020 census, the borough had a population of 4,162. [3]

Kutztown University is a member of NCAA Division II and competes in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC). Kutztown won the Dixon Trophy in 2006, which is awarded to the PSAC school with the best overall athletic program that year.
