Needham B. Broughton High School was founded in 1929 and is a co-educational, International Baccalaureate secondary Wake County publicly funded high school that serves grades 9–12. In 2005–2006, the school had approximately 2,157 enrolled students and approximately 150 hired educators.

For the 2014–2015 school year, Enloe's graduating class received over $15.4 million in scholarships, the highest of any high school in the Wake County Public School System. [ 58 ] [ 59 ] As of 2021, the U.S. News & World Report ranks Enloe was ranked 2138th in the nation, 60th in North Carolina, and 207th in the nation for magnet schools.
