Yuba County (/ ˈ j uː b ə / ⓘ; Maidu: Yubu) is located in north-central Central Valley, California, United States. As of the 2020 U.S. Census , its population was 81,575. [6] Yuba County is included in the Yuba City metropolitan statistical area , which is also included in the Sacramento – Roseville combined statistical area .
They are situated just outside Yuba City in the northern part of the state's Central Valley. Referred to as the world's smallest mountain range, the Sutter Buttes have as their highest point the summit of South Butte, at 2,122 ft (647 m), which is also the highest point in Sutter County. At the base of the mountain is the small town of Sutter.
