Bisheshwar Prasad Keshari was born in Pithoria in Ranchi district in Bihar Province on 1 July 1933 to Shivnarayan Sahu and Lagan Devi in a Kesarwani family. [3] He completed the M.A and PhD from Ranchi University. [4] According to him, when he was in intermediate of Ranchi College, he attained wedding of relatives in Pithoria.
