Central YMCA College was a college operated by the YMCA in Chicago, Illinois, United States.It was founded prior to or in 1922. [1] and was accredited in 1924. [2]It was closed in 1945 after the university president and a large majority of the faculty and students left to form what became Roosevelt University.

The campus in Lancaster is the center of a six-county region (Chester, Chesterfield, Fairfield, Lancaster, Kershaw, and York) in the north central piedmont of South Carolina. The college began holding classes in the Williams House in downtown Lancaster in September 1959, but by the mid-1960s growth forced it to find a larger facility.
The college was renamed Brevard Community College in 1970 when the state of Florida created a system of two-year colleges. The college would then offer aeronautics specialities as it would be a foundation school for many NASA-tied universities such as Florida Institute of Technology and University of Central Florida .
The name was officially changed to Ivy Tech State College in 1995. [3] In 1999, Ivy Tech entered into a partnership with Vincennes University to form the Community College of Indiana. The partnership ended in 2005 and Ivy Tech was re-chartered as a system of community colleges and renamed Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana.
