The Bootstrap Protocol (BOOTP) is a computer networking protocol used in Internet Protocol networks to automatically assign an IP address to network devices from a configuration server. The BOOTP was originally defined in RFC 951 published in 1985.
The Regge theory hypothesis allowed for the construction of string theories, based on bootstrap principles. The additional assumption was the narrow resonance approximation, which started with stable particles on Regge trajectories, and added interaction loop by loop in a perturbation series.
Two notable and widely used examples are Bootstrap and Foundation. CSS frameworks offer different modules and tools: reset style sheet; grid especially for responsive web design; web typography; set of icons in sprites or icon fonts; styling for tooltips, buttons, elements of forms
A bootloader, also spelled as boot loader [1] [2] or called bootstrap loader, is a computer program that is responsible for booting a computer. If it also provides an interactive menu with multiple boot choices then it's often called a boot manager .
Stage 1: the bootstrap compiler is produced. This compiler is enough to translate its own source into a program which can be executed on the target machine. At this point, all further development is done using the language defined by the bootstrap compiler, and stage 2 begins. Stage 2: a full compiler is produced by the bootstrap compiler.
The bootstrap can be used to construct confidence intervals for Pearson's correlation coefficient. In the "non-parametric" bootstrap, n pairs ( x i , y i ) are resampled "with replacement" from the observed set of n pairs, and the correlation coefficient r is calculated based on the resampled data.
From a kinetic point of view, the bootstrap current is the effect of trapped particles (which practically lie on poloidal plane) and density gradient: the poloidal current due to trapped particles motion is unbalanced since the density is not constant, therefore the bootstrap current is needed to "close the circuit".
Boot is short for bootstrap [1] [2] or bootstrap load and derives from the phrase to pull oneself up by one's bootstraps. [3] [4] The usage calls attention to the requirement that, if most software is loaded onto a computer by other software already running on the computer, some mechanism must exist to load the initial software onto the ...
