The University of New Mexico. The University of New Mexico ( UNM; Spanish: Universidad de Nuevo México) [7] is a public research university in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Founded in 1889 by the New Mexico Territorial Legislature, is one of two flagship universities in the state, and is the largest by enrollment, with 22,630 students in 2023.
The school uses UNM Hospital as its primary teaching hospital, along with the VA Medical Center located at Kirtland Air Force Base, along with the other hospitals that make up the UNM Hospitals system. Medical students may also complete select rotations with community providers and hospital systems throughout the state of New Mexico.

1976–2022. Steven A. Seifert (1950–2022) was an American medical toxicologist. He was a professor of emergency medicine at the University of New Mexico, as well as the medical director of the New Mexico Poison and Drug Information Center. Since 2017, he was the editor-in-chief of Clinical Toxicology. [1] He was also a jazz tenor saxophonist.
Scholes Hall is an example of the Pueblo Revival style for which Meem was best known, drawing inspiration from New Mexico's traditional adobe architecture with stepped massing, battered walls and parapets, and projecting vigas.
