As of November 2014, more than 600,000 alumni have graduated from UiTM over the course of its history. A dedicated UiTM Office of Alumni Relations was established in 2000 which to maintain and update a database of alumni in collaboration with faculties and campuses. [50]
As the third oldest branch campus, UiTM Perlis is also the largest UiTM branch campus, after the main campus in Shah Alam. It is a premier institution of higher learning in Perlis. It was officially established on 5 July 1974, with a pioneer intake 258 students, undergoing 1 preparatory course and 5 diploma programmes.
On 4 October 2010, it was upgraded to a college by the Executive Committee of UiTM. With the upgrade, the college was renamed as International Education College and given a redesigned logo. However, it retains its acronym INTEC and motto, Distinctly Global. In 2014, INTEC has been privatised and no longer part of Universiti Teknolgi Mara (UiTM)
The Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP) is a 9-month post-graduate course and examination taken by foreign law graduates and graduates of the Bachelor of Jurisprudence (Hons) from the University of Malaya and Bachelor of Legal Studies (Hons) from Universiti Teknologi MARA, to become a qualified lawyer in Malaysia.

The Webometrics Ranking of World Universities places UTM in the fourth place in the South East Asia Region, and the top in Malaysia. In the QS University Rankings, it placed 100 in the "Engineering & Technology Universities" category among other world ranked universities in 2016 UTM aims to achieve the status of a global university and rank among 50 of the world's best universities by 2020.
UiTM Faculty of Civil Engineering is one of the professional graduate faculty of UiTM located in Shah Alam, Malaysia. The Dean in office is Professor Dr. Azmi Ibrahim, who assumed the role in 2010. Currently, the faculty consists of 89 academic staff, 24 admin and 40 technical staff.
