April 3, 1997. The First Congregational Church of Riverside is a historic United Church of Christ church at 3504 Mission Inn Avenue in Riverside, California. It was designed by Myron Hunt, and built in 1913. It was added to the National Register in 1997.
FCC was founded on April 1, 1872 and was the first church in Riverside CA. [2] [3] [4] Frank Miller, owner and proprietor of the Mission Inn, became a member in 1878 and led the effort to build the current building which was completed in 1914. [5] The building was designed by Myron Hunt in the Spanish Churrigueresque (Baroque) style. [6]
