The Butte–Lawrence County Fairgrounds are a historic fairground complex located near Nisland, South Dakota, United States. County fair celebrations for Butte and Lawrence Counties have been held there annually since 1921. The fairground and its buildings were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

The Wide Awake Grocery Building, situated at 520 State St. in Belle Fourche, South Dakota, was completed in 1911. Also known as Sly's Grocery, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.
Cherokee is an unincorporated community and census-designated place [4] in Butte County, California. It is an area inhabited by Maidu Indians prior to the gold rush, but that takes its name from a band of Cherokee prospectors who perfected a mining claim on the site. The population was 69 at the 2010 census.
