Hillcrest has won eight state championships, six in American Legion baseball (1970, 1971, 1976, 1979, 1987, and 2002), and two in high school (1979, 1988). On January 26, 2014, the Hillcrest baseball program (Legion and high school) was inducted into the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame, the highest honor the state bestows on scholastic programs.
