The Kern High School District (KHSD) is a public high school system headquartered in Bakersfield, California that serves portions of the County of Kern located at the southern end of the San Joaquin Valley. As of 2023, the Kern High School District serves over 43,000 students [3][4] and 3,600 employees as of 2007. [5]
RHS also participates in the national We the People: The Citizen and the Constitution program in the 23rd Congressional District. Their coach is Jason Jenkins. In 2018, RHS's Unit 1 won the school's first-ever first place ranking in the program. Ridgeview's We the People units also coordinate with those from West, coached by Angela Jenkins.

Second year enrollment grew to 927 with 49 on the staff, and the third-year enrollment swelled to 1,300 guided by a staff of 50. Over 60 years later, North High's enrollment is over 2,000 students and certificated staff over 80.
