ING Belgium is the Belgian subsidiary of ING Group. The bank was formerly known as Bank Brussel Lambert (BBL) which became part of ING Group in 1998. The headquarters of BBL, now an office of ING Group, was the former head office building of Bank Lambert on Marnixlaan 24, Brussels. This modernist building was the only European building designed by the American architect Gordon Bunshaft making it one of the most important modernist architectural buildings in Belgium. See also. Banque Lambert. The Banque Lambert ( French pronunciation: [bɑ̃k lɑ̃bɛʁ]) was a significant family-controlled bank in Belgium, with roots going back to 1835 and long associated with the Rothschilds. It merged in 1975 with Banque de Bruxelles to form Bank Brussels Lambert, which itself was acquired in 1998 by ING Group .
In 1992, Tilmant joined the Executive Committee of Bank Brussels Lambert (BBL). He became CEO in 1997, one year before ING acquired BBL. That year, he became Chairman of ING Barings and in his appointment as Vice-Chairman of the ING Group and CEO of ING Europe followed in 2000. In April 2004, he succeeded Ewald Kist as CEO of the ING Group.
The ING Arena is an indoor arena in Brussels, Belgium, that is part of the Brussels Expo complex. Located on the Heysel/Heizel Plateau in Laeken (northern part of the City of Brussels ), it was originally built as the twelfth hall of the complex in 1989, but was extensively redesigned and reopened in its current form in September 2013.
