Loudoun County Public Schools. Coordinates: 39°02′01″N 77°31′02″W. Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) is a branch of the Loudoun County, Virginia, United States government, and administers public schools in the county. LCPS's headquarters is located at 21000 Education Court in Ashburn, an unincorporated section of the county.
The school was established in 2012. It is named after the revolutionary war hero John Champe who led an unsuccessful attempt to kidnap traitor Benedict Arnold. The campus is just south of U.S. Route 50 and 30 miles west of Washington, D.C. It is part of Loudoun County Public Schools and is located at 41535 Sacred Mountain Street.
The name “Lightridge” was chosen to recognize the history of agriculture and dairy farming in the area. [3] The school is located off Lightridge Farm Road and near the site of Lightridge Farm, a now-closed dairy farm which operated for more than 60 years and was the last working dairy farm in Loudoun County east of Route 15.
Accreditation. Loudoun County High School is a fully accredited high school based on its overall performance on the Standards of Learning tests in Virginia. In 1958, The school was evaluated and accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
