The Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime Transport (AASTMT) or (AAST) (Arabic: الأكاديمية العربية للعلوم والتكنولوجيا والنقل البحري) is a regional university operated by the Arab League, which runs programs in marine transportation, business, and engineering.

The school was founded by John Grieco, also founder of the Academies at Englewood, in 1991.
Academy for the Arts, Science & Technology. The Academy for the Arts, Science and Technology (shortened as AAST or The Academy) is a branch school of the Horry County Schools system in Horry County, South Carolina. It has a focus on specific career majors and has qualifying status as a Blue Ribbon School and as a New American High School.
The AAST was founded in April 1978 when thirty to forty sleep technologists gathered. The organization was originally called the Association of Polysomnographic Technologists (APT). The APT for many years grew slowly. In 2000 it had almost 1,200 members. At the end of 2003 the APT had just under 2,000 members.
The university was founded under the name of the University of Latakia on 20 May 1971. The name was changed in 1975 to honor the memory of the October War (Tishreen War in Arabic ). In the beginning, the university only had 3 faculties, Arabic literature, science, and agriculture, and an enrollment of 983 students during the 1970s. [1]
Lebanese University. The Lebanese University ( LU; Arabic: الجامعة اللبنانية) is the only state-funded public university in Lebanon. Established in 1951, the Lebanese University has played a major role in expanding general education in Lebanon.
Admission. Each applicant has to pass the competitive admission test administered by the university. In admission test university judges applicant for their knowledge of math, english and other subjects. There are two parts of admission exam written and viva. Student have to pass both individually.
The Office of Admissions and Registration, Student Information Services (SIS), Public Relations and Marketing, and the University Library – Learning Resources Center are located near the VIP entrance. Also close to the VIP entrance are two 125 seat lecture theaters available for teaching as well as for small-scale special presentations.
