argosy.edu. Argosy University was a private for-profit university with campuses throughout the United States owned by Dream Center Education Holdings (DCEH), LLC and Education Management Corporation. On February 27, 2019, the U.S. Department of Education stated that they were cutting off federal funding to Argosy University. [2]
In April 2012, the school was incorporated as one of the colleges of Argosy University and officially changed its name to Western State College of Law at Argosy University. [17] The same year, the school sold its property to California State University, Fullerton for roughly $18 million. [18] In January 2016, the campus moved to Irvine, California.
Argosy University became part of EDMC in July 2001, when Education Management Corporation acquired Argosy Education Group. [13] Argosy schools were sold along with other EDMC schools to Dream Center in 2017. [14] All Argosy campuses were officially closed on March 8, 2019. [15]
