The School District of Palm Beach County (SDPBC) is the tenth-largest public school district in the United States, [4] and the fifth largest school district in Florida. The district encompasses all of Palm Beach County. [5] For the beginning of the 2018–2019 academic year, enrollment totaled 192,533 students in Pre-K through 12th grades. [2]
Atlantic Community High School, originally named Seacrest High School, was built in 1949 as a racially segregated school for white students in Delray Beach and Boynton Beach, Florida. African-American students living in the area attended Carver High School, which later became Carver Middle School and is now the Delray Beach Full Service Center.
It did. A new high school building — Palm Beach High School — opened there in 1915. A third building was added in 1922, and a fourth in 1927. In 1970 the school changed its name to Twin Lakes, which closed in June 1988. It briefly operated as Palm Beach Lakes High until that school's new campus opened in 1989. [5]

The school opened as Forest Hill High School in 1959; [4] it is situated next to the West Palm Beach Country Club and I-95 in the southwestern corner of the City of West Palm Beach on a compact 17.38-acre (70,300 m 2) tract. A larger building replaced the original structure on the same site in 2004. The school was first accredited in 1961.
