Beginning in 2001, the LIRR has instead offered a Hamptons Reserve service, which includes advanced seating reservations, bar service, and special luggage storage, at a premium over the standard ticket price. Hamptons Reserve service was offered in two cars, with the remainder of the train having unrestricted seating.
