it is the best! I tried many website creating services and this one is the best of them all. It is easy to use and very nice and responsive. If you are able to learn little bit of CSS and HTML you should use wordpress though. It gives you more opportunities.

I recommend this service to those who do not know how to create websites! Here everything is quite simply arranged and it will not be difficult for you to create a pleasant and functional website. For the money, everything is tolerable here, in general, I think it's worth the money.

Site123 is a very easy website builder to use and offers a range of customization tools. For me, as a blogger with no HTML skills whatsoever, it was a good choice. The navigation bars were easy to use and I had minimal issues. One thing I will say is that if you are planning to growRead more your blog and your audience, the free plan is very limiting. I found myself very quickly running out of space and bandwidth due to multi-media features and an increase in traffic. If you are going to update your website and grow your audience, I suggest going with a paid plan. Site123 does make it easy to upgrade, so that was good. Also, upgrading gets rid of the annoying Site123 ads, which was a nice bonus.

The only reason for the four-star review is that I don't think anything can be perfect enough for 5 no matter the product! I found the web builder easy to use and well priced (in the end I decided to go with the ad-free option of the lesser of the two payed plans) which has workedRead more out well for me. A few of my pages have quite well-known or frequently visited competition, although when doing a general search for my topic base about 90% of them can be found high up on the very first page of google! Unfortunately, it took a little while to first appear on Google (although this is an issue I put down fully to them rather than Webador) but since I've had plenty of views from all over the world. Just a few days before I planned to have my website up and running, disaster struck- I was unable to log in and then got worried that now the money had been taken, I was locked out and had wasted all the time, money and effort that I had put into it. Luckily, after contacting the helpful services team, which came back to me the next day (it is important to remember that because of their location time zones can play a factor in response speed) and the issue was sorted after a couple of failed attempts. There's always room for improvement but Jimdo simply works. It's the most robust website builder I've found and I've explored about thirty alternatives including some of the big names. You can actually build a very sophisticated site with the cheaper of the pro packages they offer,Read more upgrade anytime if you require even more bells and whistles and the learning curve isn't too steep. They have servers on three continents and sites load extremely fast. Their online store options, included in each package, are powerful and include linkable product view sliders and numerous appearance/layout options. Jimdo templates are extremely flexible and a joy to work with. You can build anything from a few pages and a blog at pro level, to a massive site streaming thousands of videos with their business offering, as bandwidth and storage are both unlimited. SEO tools are included and of course you can add as many external widgets as you like with full the built-in html editor. They even have a mobile app. If you like to edit on the move and all their templates are responsive and resize beautifully on all devices - except toasters :) What's not to like!

How To Create a Website In 3 Easy Steps

Creating a modern, engaging, and beautiful website has never been easier – you just need to decide which method works best for you. The “traditional” self-hosted method is a great budget-friendly option, and it gives you a lot more control over your website’s performance. However, it’s a more involved process, as you’ll have to dive into the technical side of your website to connect everything.

If you’d rather keep things simple (and I can’t say I blame you!), then you can follow the hosted method with a website builder. This method is slightly more expensive, but you won’t have to worry about the technical side of your website. Not only that, but you’ll usually be able to get your website up and running in an hour.

Step 1: Find the Right Website Builder for Your Needs

Not every website builder is created equal, and some perform better in certain areas than others. From great e-commerce and marketing features that are perfect for small businesses, to design-focused builders with 100s of beautiful templates. The best choice for you will depend on your unique needs.

Squarespace powers beautiful websites with great functionality

These aren’t the only website builders out there, though, and I recommend that you thoroughly research your options before handing over your credit card details. Most website builders offer a free forever plan, a free trial, or a money-back guarantee that lets you try them out with zero risk.

Most importantly, make sure you check each website builder’s pricing plan and included features before you make a decision. Picking a website builder outside of your budget, or one that’s within your budget but doesn’t have the features you or your business really need, can leave you frustrated later on.

Step 2: Choose and Customize a Template

To start designing your website, you’ll need to choose a template. These are pre-made website designs that set the overall layout and style of your website that you can customize to fit your vision. Make sure you take a look at the template demo before you make your choice, as this’ll help you get a feel for what’s right for your website.

Bear in mind that how much you can customize a template depends on the website builder. Almost every website builder will allow you to change colors, images, text formatting, and fonts, as well as let you set different fonts and styles for different headers and paragraphs. You’ll also be able to add new pages, and some website builders even have template-specific page types for you to use.

Wix’s drag-and-drop editor is a pleasure to use, too

Some builders allow you to fully customize any template. You’ll be able to change the layout of every page, as well as connect apps that add even more options. This will let you build a truly unique website, but having complete freedom can sometimes feel overwhelming.

Other website builders have a fixed layout based on the template you chose. This can feel a little limiting if you have a specific design in mind. However, by using unique and modern templates that are all thoughtfully designed, you’ll still be able to build a stunning, tailored website even within these restrictions.

Step 3: Register a Domain Name and Publish Your Site

Finally, you’ll need to choose a domain name. If you’re on a free website builder plan you’ll have to use a subdomain (for example, myname.site.com/myfancywebsite). Some builders offer a free domain name for a year if you sign up for an annual plan, however, you’ll have to pay extra to renew your domain name every year after that.

blog 3
I wouldn’t recommend using a subdomain for a professional website

It’s worth noting, though, that you’re not required to purchase your domain name through your website builder. Don’t get me wrong, doing so makes life easier – your website builder will handle the registration and setup of your domain name if you purchase it through them. Just make sure to double-check the small print on whether you can transfer your domain name if you cancel your plan, as all website builders will let you do this.

Purchasing your domain name with a domain registrar means you’ll usually get a better deal, plus you’ll have no restrictions on transferring your domain if you move to a different website builder. It’s more technically involved, but any good website builder will have a guide to walk you through the process.

Before you hit Publish, make sure you take a look at your website in preview mode. Trust me, it’s remarkably common to think you’ve added everything to your website only to remember you’ve forgotten to fill out a box the second you click Publish. Checking out the preview means you can catch those small details before your first few visitors do.

Once you’re happy with your website, click Publish, and you’re good to go. Congratulations, your website is now live!

Take Your Website to the Next Level

In today’s market, it’s not enough to publish your website and hope it gets seen by your target audience. There are plenty of methods you can use to increase your website’s visibility. Here’s how you can attract more visitors to your website:

  • Optimize your website for search engines. You can use built-in SEO tools that help your website appear higher in search results. Don’t worry if you don’t know the first thing about search engine optimization, either – these tools come with extensive, beginner-friendly guides.
  • Use email marketing. Email marketing is a great way for businesses to attract new customers and retain existing ones. Look out for free email marketing tools that integrate seamlessly with your website.
  • Start a blog. Blogging is a vital part of any modern marketing strategy. Your written content will improve your site’s search engine rankings and establish your authority as a leader within your industry. Most website builders will come with blogging functionality built in, making it easy to share your thoughts with your customers.
  • Design a logo. A custom logo shows you’re serious about your website and your business. Fortunately, you don’t have to break the bank to get one. There are AI logo designers included in some builder plans that generate fantastic designs.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is a website builder easy to use?

In general, website builders are very easy to use. Any of the options on our list of the top website builders in 2024 can be figured out in a couple hours. However, some are more user friendly than others. For example, you can build a site on Wix in under 10 minutes

What special elements will my business website need?

This will depend entirely on your industry. Some functionality will be essential to your business site:

  • If you want to sell products you need an e-commerce site
  • If you want to capture leads you must have online forms
  • If you want to share news, you need a blog and newsletter sign up
  • If you’re in tourism or dining, you should have booking forms

One of the best ways to make sure that your business website will be prepopulated with all of the essential functionality is to use a template or theme. While Squarespace probably has the best looking templates, Wix has over 500 to choose from, all with different looks and add-ons.

Is there a way to add more functions to my business site?

The best web builders are smart and come with the essential features your website requires, such as:

  • Page adding
  • Copy blocks
  • Image slots
  • SEO tags
  • Menu navigations

You can add more elements and features to your site like:

  • Countdown timers
  • Coupons
  • Lead magnets
  • Social buttons

Some popular web builders enable these via apps or plugins. Web builders like Wix and Weebly have dedicated app markets with thousands of additional features, and WordPress lets you access a ton of options from third parties.

Does your business website really need a blog?

Any business website with success in mind should consider adding a blog. Blogs allow for additional, fresh content, which aids SEO and let’s your audience find you more easily.

Blogs also allow content marketing and an opportunity to attract and engage with visitors.

With most web builders it is very simple to add a blog. It is usually as straightforward as adding a new page or a content block. Some web builders may require a third-party blog application be added. Take a look at some of the best templates for blogging. We’ve also put together a step-by-step guide for building a free blog on WordPress, one of the best options for bloggers.

Will my website be automatically mobile friendly?

While some site builders – like Squarespace – offer fully responsive websites by default, this is not universally the case. Most of the best site builders will provide sites that are at least mobile friendly.

Mobile friendly means your site will be functional on smaller devices but its style won’t really change. Since it’s not responsive and won’t adapt to different screen sizes and optimize for that device experience automatically, you’ll still want to address things like spacing and navigation before you push your site live.

Will my website be automatically SEO friendly?

The depth of SEO control offered will vary between website builders and between their different packages. With these SEO tools, you will still need to decide the right keywords for your website and to input title tags and meta descriptions. Most website builders offer articles and tutorials on SEO and marketing.
